Florentina & Jason — A Couple Photoshoot in Cavo Greco, Cyprus

Cavo Greco is one of my favourite places in Cyprus for a couple photoshoot. What makes it so special is not only the natural beauty of the area, but also the variety it offers. A session there is not just about arriving at one spot, taking a few photos and leaving. One of the best things about Cavo Greco is that within the same shoot, you can create different moods and different backgrounds while keeping the whole experience connected and natural.

That was exactly the case with Florentina and Jason’s couple photoshoot. For their session, we explored three different locations in Cavo Greco, each with its own character. This allowed us to create a gallery with more variety, more depth and a natural progression from one setting to the next.

The First Location — A Full View of the Scenery

We started at a location that offered a full view of the scenery. This was the perfect way to begin the photoshoot because it immediately gave us that open, expansive feeling that makes Cavo Greco so unique. The landscape, the coastline and the endless blue created a beautiful and natural backdrop for Florentina and Jason. At the beginning of a session, I usually like to keep things relaxed and easy. It helps the couple settle into the experience without pressure, and it gives us time to create natural photographs while they get comfortable in front of the camera. This first location gave us exactly that — space, beautiful views and a calm atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the shoot.

The Second Location — Ayioi Anargyroi Chapel

Our second stop was Ayioi Anargyroi Chapel, one of the most beautiful and distinctive spots in the area. This location has something really special about it. The white chapel, the blue tones of the sea and the overall atmosphere can instantly remind you of the Aegean and the Cyclades. It has that clean, timeless Greek-island feeling that works beautifully in photographs. It is also a location that adds a completely different look to the gallery. After the wider natural scenery of the first spot, the chapel gave us something more iconic and more architectural, while still keeping the Mediterranean feel of the session.Another beautiful feature of this area is the dock nearby, which is perfect for photos. It adds even more variety and creates a lovely setting for romantic, relaxed moments by the sea.For Florentina and Jason, this part of the session brought a slightly different mood — elegant, bright and full of that summer feeling that makes Cyprus so special.

The Final Location — Sea Caves at Sunset

To finish the photoshoot, we headed to the sea caves for sunset. This is always one of the most magical times to photograph in Cavo Greco. As the sun gets lower, the light becomes softer, warmer and more atmospheric. The colours of the rocks change, the sea reflects the evening light and the whole landscape starts to feel even more dramatic and cinematic.Ending the session at the sea caves allowed us to capture that beautiful golden-hour glow and close the shoot with a completely different atmosphere from where we started. This is one of the reasons I enjoy planning sessions in multiple spots around Cavo Greco. Each location contributes something different — the open views, the chapel and dock, and finally the sea caves at sunset. Together, they create a complete experience rather than a session that feels limited to just one background. For Florentina and Jason, it meant a gallery that felt varied, natural and full of movement from beginning to end.

A Relaxed and Natural Experience

Throughout the session, the goal was to keep everything natural and relaxed.I never want a couple photoshoot to feel stiff or overly posed. Instead, I prefer to guide couples gently and allow space for real interaction — walking together, talking, enjoying the scenery and simply being present with each other. That approach worked beautifully for Florentina and Jason. Combined with the changing locations and the sunset light, it helped create photographs that felt genuine and personal.

Why Cavo Greco Is Perfect for a Couple Photoshoot

Cavo Greco is one of the best locations in Cyprus for couples because it offers so much variety in one area. You can have dramatic coastal views, iconic Mediterranean architecture, beautiful details like the dock at Ayioi Anargyroi Chapel, and then finish with the sea caves during sunset. It gives the photoshoot a natural flow and makes the final gallery feel rich and complete. Florentina and Jason’s session was a perfect example of that. From the first panoramic views, to the Cycladic atmosphere of the chapel, to the final golden light at the sea caves, every part of the shoot added something unique.
